The President for Champion Security Services, Mr. Sciarabba has extensive experience as a Security Manager, Protective Security Specialist, and Law Enforcement / Security Trainer at both the state and federal employment levels. He is a veteran of both US Military and US Government special operations units, and a former operator in a highly classified government counter-terrorist program. Between 2003-2010 he deployed to the Middle East and Africa supporting Operations Iraqi / Enduring Freedom serving as both a Security Manager and a Security Operator on programs and operations for the Department of State and the Department of Defense. He has also performed high-risk PSD (Protective Security Detail) missions for a broad range of high profile government officials and visiting diplomats close protection teams. During his last two tours in the Middle East and Africa, Mr. Sciarabba was used primarily as an adviser and instructor under the Department of State responsible for training and mentoring the Afghan Border Police (ABP). He was also assigned a U.S. Representative consulting and assessing for the African Peacekeeping Forces (ACOTA) deploying to the Sudan region of East Africa; on the fundamentals for the reinforcement of their units security tactics.
Mr. Sciarabba is a decorated US Army veteran (retired) who participated in major military actions spanning three decades, and having served in Special Operations, Airborne and Light Infantry (Mountain) Divisions. His duties included Assistant Brigade Engineer Officer, Company Operations / Training Officer, Platoon Leader and Engineer Sergeant. He was also a Service Rifle Instructor and competitor with the elite United States Army Marksmanship Unit. On active duty he participated in Operations Urgent Fury (Grenada), Just Cause (Panama), Restore Democracy (Haiti), JTF-6 Border Patrol (Nogales, Arizona), as well as European Reinforcement in the Federal Republic of Germany. As the Assistant Brigade Engineer Officer for Operations in Haiti, Mr. Sciarabba was responsible for entire ground mobile reconnaissance missions controlling all engineer supply and logistical assets during a 6-month deployment to a Combat Theater of Operations. While performing Border Patrol duties for the JTF-6 in Nogales, Arizona he led a 35 member task force of Special Forces personnel in providing security and surveillance to a region along the U.S. and Mexican Border in support of U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement. He has graduated from over 30 formal schools regarding special operations and leadership applications to include; Basic and Advanced Leadership Development Schools, Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC), Airborne and Air-Assault Schools, Sniper School, Advanced Demolitions School, Jungle and Mountain Warfare Schools, Nuclear Biological Chemical Warfare School, Master Fitness Trainer Course, and the Army’s Equal Opportunity Representative Course.
Mr. Sciarabba holds a Degree in Business Management and has completed advanced law enforcement training in Tactical Security / Shift Supervisor Officer, Armed Customs Protection Officer, FEMA Emergency Management Officer, IEC Infrared Surveillance Systems Operator, Dieter Close Quarters Defense Modules I & II, and the Anti-Terrorist Tactical Driving Course. Additionally he is registered as a Certified New York State Security Guard Instructor, a Law Enforcement Firearms Trainer and an NRA Instructor. He is one of only a few individuals in the world to have simultaneously attained the “Distinguished Rifleman Badge”, the “Presidents Hundred Rifle Badge”, and the “German Armed Forces Marksmanship Gold Badge (Schutzenschnur)” – the three highest awards commissioned by the United States Government for excellence in service rifle marksmanship and competition.
